Upon arrival at Skyrail you will be greeted by your personal Ranger who will then join you on your journey to Red Peak Station for an informative, guided boardwalk tour. After a short break in the quaint rainforest village of Kuranda we continue onto the unique tropical fruit Winery, the Golden Drop.
The Mango deserves the reputation as the king of all superb fruits. Our own Australian variety, the Kensington Red Mango is among the world's best with its fragrant flavour and smooth texture.
Grown in the heart of Australia's Tropical Far North Queensland, the Mangoes selected for the Golden Drop Mango Wines produce a delectable, versatile range of whites with extremely delicate fruity flavours. Here we sample the various wines and savour cheese nibbles.
The Atherton Tablelands is a combination of nature and lifestyle at its finest, we venture through some of Australia's richest agricultural lands and charming small townships. The farm and grazing lands are "the food bowl" of the northern tropics - yielding a constant supply of fruit, vegetables and grains to local and export markets. Our party continues on to the Homestead in Tolga, 180 acres of avocado and tropical fruit orchard. Take in the beautiful surroundings while enjoying a delightful morning tea. Reaching Yungaburra we meet Nick at the Swiss Italian restaurant for lunch, where we sample his fine dining cuisine and a la carte service.
Luscious Millaa Millaa Falls is our next point of call. Here, you may see the vibrant flittering Ulysses Butterfly and elusive Platypus. There are also many iridescent dragonflies which float into view just long enough for you to photograph them.
Continuing south, our final stop for the day is at the Paronella Park Heritage Gardens, built on 5 hectares (13 acres) of rainforest beside tumbling Mena Creek Falls. The crumbling, mysterious castle ruins at Paronella Park are the fulfilment of José Paronella's dreams. From the turret-topped balconies of the concrete castle, to the Hydro Electric generating plant below the falls, we stand in awe of his achievements.
We will also enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea in this romantic and historical setting before we commence our journey back north to Cairns.
